In conjunction with the 16th National War Heroes' Day, promotions have been given to officers and other ranks of the tri-forces.

The Ministry of Defense stated that the promotions have been given with effect from today (19).

Accordingly, 22 officers and 1,256 other ranks of the Sri Lanka Navy have been promoted.

The Sri Lanka Air Force stated that 12 officers and 848 other ranks of the Air Force have been promoted.

Meanwhile, 10,093 other ranks of the Sri Lanka Army have also been promoted.
