The New Democratic Front (NDF) has nominated Ravi Karunanayake for one of its two National List MP posts following the 2024 general election. Party sources revealed that the second nominee will be announced to the Election Commission in the near future.
The NDF, contesting under the gas cylinder symbol, secured 500,835 votes and ea ed two National List seats. Additionally, Anuradha Jayaratne (Mahanuwara), Rohitha Abeygunawardena (Kalutara), and Chamara Sampath Dasanayake (Badulla) won parliamentary seats representing the party.
