The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that rain or thundershowers will occur in a few places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Weste provinces and Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 pm.

The announcement also states that some places in the Northe Province and Trincomalee district may experience some rain.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
