The Colombo Grand Mosque announced yesterday (18) that the Muslim people of Sri Lanka will begin the Ramadan fast from today (19).

The mosque announced that the new crescent moon was sighted yesterday (18) according to the reports of the Hilal Sub-Committees appointed across the country, and thus the month of Ramadan will begin today (19).
