The Cinnamon Development Department says that it was able to earn an income of US$ 260 million from the export of cinnamon products last year.

Director General of the department Janaka Lindara stated that they hope to reach a target of US$ 300 million this year.

Among the cinnamon products, the largest amount has been earned from the export of cinnamon sticks.

It is reported that an income of US$ 251 million has been earned from the exported cinnamon sticks.

The remaining income has been earned from cinnamon bark, leaves, and oil. exports.
