A fire broke out yesterday (18) in the Arolwatte Iluksalai Reserve, which belongs to the Hatton Police Division.

It is reported that a 10-acre portion of the Arolwatte Reserve has been destroyed due to the fire.

Residents of the area stated that this may have been done by some group or individual for the purpose of hunting animals or for entertainment, with the extremely dry weather prevailing in the Central Weste Hills these days.
