The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (25) after 2.00 pm.

It is said that light rains will occur in the Northe , Easte and Uva Provinces and few rains may occur in the North-Central Provinces.

In the easte slopes of the Central Hills and in the North-Central Province, from time to time strong winds of 30-40 kmh are possible.

In some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Weste Provinces and Galle and Matara Districts, there will be foggy conditions in the mo ing.

Requesting the people, the department said to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
