Bambalapitiya Police have arrested 5 men and 1 woman for allegedly committing fraud and robbery by falsely offering massage services.

The suspects lured a victim, promising a massage, then attacked him, threatened him with knives, and forced him to transfer Rs. 10 lakh through inte et banking. They also stole Rs. 15,000 from his wallet.

Following a complaint, police arrested two suspects involved, along with a three-wheeler used in the crime, on November 8. The suspects, aged 44 and 54, are residents of Piliyandala.

Based on their statements, four additional suspects, aged 19 to 23 and from Ratmalana and Mt. Lavinia, were also arrested. Further investigations are ongoing.
