GMOA warns of a resurgence in the risk of Covid

The Gove ment Medical Officers Association says that the risk of Covid is increasing once again in Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, the association informs the gove ment to immediately activate the technical committees of the Ministry of Health to control it.
Dr. Haritha Aluthge, secretary of the association, said while attending a press conference that if the Covid situation shows an increase in the midst of the current economic crisis, it will not be a bearable situation.

Meanwhile, he also emphasized the need for eligible elderly people to take the second booster dose as soon as possible.
Also, Dr. Haritha Aluthge mentioned that there is a risk of disposing of the vaccines that have been brought to the country after they have not been used.
