The Inland Revenue Department says that a false statement has been circulated that the last date for submitting the relevant self-declaration to banks and financial institutions by individuals without taxable income subject to withholding tax on interest income is April 30th.

The Commissioner General of Inland Revenue stated that no such last date has been set.

It is reported that the taxpayer does not need a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to submit this declaration.
