The Sri Lanka Transport Board says that it has planned to operate a special bus service to facilitate the transportation of people leaving for their villages for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
Deputy General Manager of the Transport Board, Panduka Swa ahansa, stated that it has been planned to deploy 500 additional buses for the convenience of the people during the festive period.
This will be implemented in two phases, and the first phase has been decided to be implemented from the 9th to the 13th.
The Sri Lanka Transport Board stated that a special bus service will be operated from the 16th to the 20th of April to retu to Colombo for people who went to their villages after the end of the New Year.
