The ICC has taken steps to suspend Sri Lanka Cricket's membership with immediate effect.

Saying that Sri Lanka Cricket is seriously violating its responsibilities as an ICC member.

Accordingly, they have indicated that they should ensure that there is no gove ment interference in the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket.

It is further stated that it should be managed independently of control and regulation.
