The transparency and proactive approach taken toward restructuring the gove ment’s debt have been appreciated by the Inte ational Monetary Fund’s First Deputy Managing Director, Dr. Geetha Gopinath.

This was during her recent meeting with Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya.

He further stated that the progress achieved so far has strengthened inte ational confidence in Sri Lanka’s economic revival.
