The Sri Lankan Rupee has appreciated by 27.9 per cent against the Japanese Yen so far this year.

According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the Rupee has performed well against all major currencies during the year up to the 7th of July.

The Central Bank said, the Rupee has appreciated by 17.8 per cent against the US Dollar so far this year.

Furthermore, the Rupee has also appreciated by 15.3 per cent against the Euro, 11.5 per cent against the Sterling Pound, and 17.7 per cent against the Indian Rupee so far in 2023.
