Here is the latest information on 17 Sri Lankans in Gaza



Sri Lankan representative in Palestine Mr. Bennett Kure says that steps are being taken to safely send 17 Sri Lankans in Gaza to Egypt.

He mentioned that it has been confirmed that those Sri Lankans are safe.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden says that Egypt has agreed to open the Rafah entrance to provide about 20 aid trucks to the Gaza Strip.
 
This entrance on the Gaza-Egypt border is called Rafah.

Foreign media reported that this decision was taken during a discussion between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and American President Joe Biden.
 
The death toll from the Israeli-Gaza conflict has now exceeded 4,500.
