That is due to President Ranil Wickramasinghe leaving Sri Lanka for an official visit. 

 

The President has left for a visit to Britain and France early today. 

 

President Wickremesinghe during his European tour is scheduled to meet several key figures to discuss Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring process and also attended a number of summits. 

 

The Head of State will discuss with Paris Club members regarding the debt restructuring mechanism. 

 

During his stay in the UK, President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to attend the 40th anniversary event of the Inte ational Democrat Union in London on the 19th and the 20th of June. 

 

Several high-profile world leaders are due to attend the forum. 

 

Meanwhile, State Minister Premitha Bandara Tennakoon has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Defence.
