The Department of Motor Vehicles (RMV) says that temporary driving licenses will be issued from the National Transport Medical Institute in Nugegoda from today (30) when renewing driving licenses.

The department stated that this will be started from today as a pilot project and that if no changes are required to the driving license, the temporary driving license can be obtained from the institute.

The department further stated that temporary driving license applicants do not need to visit the Werahera Motor Transport Office.
