Former cricketer Thisara Perera has accused the Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee of the collapse of Sri Lankan cricket.
Speaking in an interview, he mentioned that several senior cricketers, including himself, have been marginalized by the authorities.
He further mentioned that the lack of understanding on the part of the selection committee led to the removal of senior cricketers and inappropriate selections.
In addition, he said that the selection committee did not give priority to giving opportunities to talented and suitable cricketers in the World Cup.
Further commenting, he mentioned that he is ready to come back and play for one or two years only if the authorities appoint a new selection committee.
