The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority says that the number of foreign tourists who have visited the island during the past year has exceeded 300,000.

The authority stated that 317,381 foreign tourists visited the island between January 1 and February 4.

The largest number of tourists has come from India.

The number is stated as 57,348.

The Tourism Development Authority also stated that 34,724 British nationals, 30,951 Russian nationals, 20,272 German nationals, and 16,315 Chinese nationals are among them.

In addition, a large number of tourists have also come to the country from countries including France, Australia, and the Netherlands.
