An accident occurred yesterday (16) when a tractor veered off the road.

It happened at a steep spot on the by - road towards Maligatenna on the Madolsima-Passara road.

The driver sustained injuries in the accident and died after being admitted to the Badulla Teaching Hospital.

It is reported that a 43-year-old resident of Madolsima, Warellapathana, has died in this way.
