The ICC has banned male-bo transgender players from playing inte ational women's cricket.
A statement issued by the ICC said that they have taken this decision after a nine-month consultation process to ensure the safety of the female players.
Canada's Danielle McGahey became the first transgender cricketer to be named in an inte ational women's squad earlier this year.
McGahey, who was bo in Australia before immigrating to Canada in 2020, migrated socially as a woman in November 2020 and began medically migrating in May 2021.
She is 29-year-old and made her T20 inte ational debut against Brazil in September.
However, under the ICC's new regulations, she will no longer be able to compete in inte ational women's cricket matches.
