Two people who had gone out for fishing have gone missing.

It is reported that investigations were initiated yesterday (22) based on a complaint received at the Kalpitiya Police Station regarding the non-retu of two people who had gone out for fishing from the Sinnakudiyirippu Lagoon in Kalpitiya on the evening of the 21st.

The missing persons are residents of the Kalpitiya area, aged 27 and 34.

Police say that officers from the Kalpitiya Police Station and Navy officers have jointly launched an operation to search for the two missing fishermen.
