A 'Model Urban Green Zone' project has been implemented under the Clean Sri Lanka program implemented by the gove ment.

It is reported that under its first phase, 2 “Model Urban Green Zones” are planned to be implemented in the Peliyagoda and Orugodawatte areas.

This project will be implemented as an urban planning project in accordance with the Green City concept with the participation of the public and private sectors.

Its activities are scheduled to commence before the end of this month.
