Private bus unions on strike today - Maximum number of buses operating from CTB

The convener of the All Ceylon Bus Companies Federation Mr. Anjana Priyanjith said that all the buses of his association will stop running today (05) and go on strike.

It was in protest of not providing enough fuel to run the buses on a daily basis.

He said that this strike will be implemented until a quick solution to the fuel problem is found.

However, the Sri Lanka Transport Board informs us that buses are operating as usual from Langama depots across the Provinces.

According to that, the maximum number of buses will be used today, said Mr. Panduka Swa ahansa, Deputy General Manager of Ceylon Transport Board.
