The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has issued a statement regarding an emergency water cut in several areas.

The statement states that due to essential maintenance work on the system owned by the Electricity Board at the Biyagama Water Treatment Plant, water supply to the said water treatment plant will be suspended for 8 1/2 hours tomorrow, the 27th, from 08.30 am to 05.00 pm.

Accordingly, it has been decided to suspend the water supply to the Peliyagoda, Wattala, Ja Ela, Katunayake, Seeduwa Urban Council areas, Kelaniya, Wattala, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Katana, Minuwangoda, and Gampaha Pradeshiya Sabha areas.
