The price of frozen food marks an increase of almost 75%

The All Ceylon Restaurant Owners Association predicts that the price of frozen food such as yogurt, ice cream and meat will increase by 75%.

That is due to the increase in electricity bill by 75 percent.

Asela Sampath, president of the association, said that due to the increase in electricity charges, the restaurant owners will be in a lot of trouble.

He also mentioned that the electricity bill was increased with the reduction in the price of food items by the Restaurant Owners Association.

He said that last Monday, a regular cup of tea was reduced by Rs 30 and lunch packets by 10 percent to attract customers to the restaurants once again.
