CID visits Maitri's house and takes a statement of 03 hours

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has recorded a statement from former President Pripala Sirisena. 

It is regarding the granting of presidential pardon to Sramanta Jayamaha, who was convicted in the Royal Park case. 
A statement was recorded for three hours at the location of a former officer of the Criminal Investigation Department. 
The recorded statement has been forwarded to the Atto ey General. 
Sramanta Jayamaha was sentenced to death for the murder of Yvonne Johnson at the Rajagiriya Royal Park condominium complex in 2005. 
In 2012, he was initially sentenced to 12 years in prison, but was later convicted of murder by the Court of Appeal. 
It was only then that the Supreme Court sentenced him to death in the Royal Park murder case. 
Later, former President Maithripala Sirisena granted him presidential pardon in 2016.
