A plane crash in the US state of Missouri has killed 12 people.

The crash occurred near Butler Memorial Airport in Bates County, south of Kansas City.

Foreign media reported that a plane carrying people for skydiving had crashed.

Foreign media further reported that the identities of those who died in the crash have not yet been officially announced.
