The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement that there will be rain or thundershowers in places throughout the island in the evening or at night.

Some places in the Easte and Uva provinces may experience heavy rains of about 75 mm.

It also said that there will be rain in the mo ing in the weste coastal areas and Galle and Matara districts.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
