Parliament is scheduled to meet tomorrow (30) as a special parliamentary sitting day.

Accordingly, it is reported that Parliament is scheduled to meet tomorrow at 09.30 am.

Parliament is scheduled to meet in this manner to fulfill the requirement of the gove ment to announce a fiscal strategy statement on or before June 30 of each year in accordance with Section 11 of the Public Finance Management Act No. 44 of 2024.

It is reported that Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne has summoned Parliament tomorrow (30) at the request of the Prime Minister in accordance with Standing Order 16 of Parliament.
