9 buses imported to Sri Lanka in 2014 that were removed from daily service have been repaired and put back into service.

The Ministry of Transport stated that technicians from the Sri Lanka Transport Board have provided technical support for this.

Deputy Minister of Transport Prasanna Gunasena stated that these buses are scheduled to be used on expressways and long-distance routes after a short distance of 5,000 kilometers.
