The Human Rights Commission has appointed special teams to investigate whether fundamental rights have been violated during the provision of disaster relief.

In a manner that covers all the districts affected by the disaster.

The monitoring process is being carried out through the relevant teams in conjunction with the head office.

The Human Rights Commission stated that initial monitoring activities have already commenced, covering the districts of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Kurunegala and Badulla.
