A bus has suddenly caught fire near the Welipenna and Dodangoda interchange on the Southe Expressway.

It is reported that a bus traveling between Galle and Makumbura has caught fire.

The fire has broken out due to a mechanical fault in the bus.

It is reported that the police and the people in the vicinity have taken steps to douse the fire.
