Former Chairman of Wattegama Municipal Council Ravindra Bandara and his associate Lakshitha Manoj Weerabahu have been arrested.

This was on charges of illegally importing vehicles and fraudulently registering them.

Police stated that along with their arrest, two luxury jeeps were also seized.
