A total of 240,217 tourists arrived on the island between February 1 and 28, 2025.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority stated that this is the highest number of tourists ever to arrive in February of any year.

The previous highest number of tourists to arrive in February was in 2018.

That number was 235,618.
