The Police Children and Women's Bureau says that complaints about child and women abuse have increased in the first 6 months of this year.

This is compared to the first 6 months of last year.

About 9503 complaints have been reported in the first 6 months of this year alone.

The bureau stated that 1620 serious child abuse incidents have been reported.

373 complaints have also been received regarding serious women abuse.

The Police Children and Women's Bureau stated that prompt investigations have been carried out in this regard.
