Spirit Airlines, one of America's leading low-cost airlines, has completely ceased operations from today (02).
Foreign media reported that the company was expecting $500 million in financial aid from the gove ment, but it has not been able to complete the deal on time due to complex financial problems.
The Trump administration had proposed a $500 million financial facility on the condition that the gove ment take over 90% of the company's shares.
However, the deal has reportedly failed due to disagreements within the gove ment and the company's creditors not agreeing to these conditions.
