Supreme Court Judge Anthony Lalith Shiran Gunaratne has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice.

Accordingly, he was reportedly sworn in before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat this mo ing (22).

The President has made this appointment until Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena returns to Sri Lanka due to her departure from abroad from today (22) to the 27th.
