25 Indian fishermen have been taken into custody by the Navy.
They were engaged in fishing activities violating the country's territorial waters.
The Navy says that 02 fishing boats were taken into custody along with this group during a search operation conducted in the Kankesanthurai area.
Navy Media Spokesperson Commander Buddhika Sampath stated that this group has been handed over to the Kankesanthurai Fisheries Inspectorate Office for further investigation.
