The Sri Lanka T20I squad has been nominated for the upcoming T20 Series vs Bangladesh by the Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee.

Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Harin Fe ndo has approved the squad.

The first match of the Series will start on 4th March in Sylhet Inte ational Cricket Stadium, Sylhet, at 6:00 PM local time.

Since Wanindu Hasaranga has been suspended Charith Asalanka will lead the team for the first two games as captain for the first time.

This is the first time for charith Asalanka to hold the captaincy.

Although Pathum Nissanka was officially in the squad he will not be able to join the team as he is still recovering from injuries that occurred during Afghanistan Tour.

The team will leave for Bangladesh today (29).
