A body of a tiger has been found dead in the Palmerston Estate in Nanuoya, Nuwara Eliya.

Wildlife officials said that this is the first tiger death found in the Nuwara Eliya Wildlife Sanctuary since 2023.

Wildlife officials suspect that the animal may have died due to a conflict with another animal.

The deceased animal is reported to be a female between 1 and 2 years old.
