The newly designed Calypso train, designed by the Railway Department to promote the local tourism industry, began its jou ey from Nanu Oya Railway Station to Demodara Railway Station at 8.10 am today (08).
According to reports, the train will start its jou ey from Nanu Oya to Demodara every Tuesday.
The train has been equipped with specially designed coaches that allow local and foreign tourists traveling on it to see the beautiful waterfalls and other attractions along the railway line and take photographs.
The train has an open coach without a roof, equipped with a special dining hall.
According to reports, each tourist taking the train from Nanu Oya to Demodara will pay a fee of Rs. 10,000.
