Canal in Argentina turns red



A canal in a suburb of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires tu ed bright red yesterday (07).

Local media reported that the color was caused by the dumping of textile dyes or the dumping of chemical waste from a nearby depot.

The Ministry of Environment said in a statement that water samples had been taken from the Sarandi Canal to determine the cause of the color change.
