The Railway Department says that traffic on the Coastal Railway Line will be restricted to Weligama.

This is due to a slow train running from Matara to Maradana derailing between Kamburugamuwa and Weligama railway stations at 02.05 pm yesterday (21).

The railway staff re-derailed the train, but the train has derailed again at the same location.

The Railway Department stated that work to re-derail the train is already underway.

Due to this, the Railway Department stated that train traffic on the Coastal Railway Line will be restricted from Colombo to Weligama.
