The Ministry of Health says that there is an increase in dengue patients being reported in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Hambantota, and Ratnapura.

Its Dengue Control Unit stated that 4617 patients have been reported in April alone.

He further stated that due to this, special dengue control programs have been implemented in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, and Kalutara.
