The Petroleum Distributors Association says it will withdraw from petroleum ordering activities from midnight today (28).
It is reported that this decision has been taken due to the steps taken by the authorities to cut the discount amount they are entitled to for distributing petroleum.
Accordingly, the association stated that only the existing reserves will be distributed and no new reserve orders will be made.
The Petroleum Corporation has taken steps to abolish the 3% discount currently available to fuel distributors and make payments according to a new formula, effective from tomorrow (01).
