The employees of the Sri Lanka Electricity Board have decided to engage in trade union action by reporting sick leave today (17) and tomorrow (18).
This is to demand that the restructuring process of the Electricity Board be carried out properly.
The General Secretary of the Electricity Board Free Employees' Union, Prabath Priyantha, stated that although a discussion was requested from the Minister of Energy in this regard, no response has been received so far.
