Former Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, Senior Superintendent of Police Prasad Ranasinghe, was arrested today (10).

This was by officers of the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption.

The Commission of Inquiry stated that he was arrested in connection with an investigation.
