A series of four earthquakes were recorded this mo ing in the Indian Ocean off the Maldives Islands at a depth of 10km, the Seismic Data and Tsunami Alert Centre said.

DTAC confirmed that four earthquakes were recorded at 4.8, 5.2, 5.8, and 5.0 magnitudes.

However, there is no threat of a tsunami in Sri Lanka, it said.
