Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa stated that he hopes to reduce drug prices to an extent that is felt by the public.

He made this statement while participating in the debate on the expenditure head of the Ministry of Health and Mass Media in Parliament today (06).

He stated that necessary measures will be taken in consultation with drug manufacturers and drug importers along with VAT and electricity bill concessions.

The minister also stated that a large amount of money has been allocated in this year's budget for the continuous and quality supply of drugs.
